Valerie joined AFII as an Administration Officer, bringing six years of experience in administration across various areas of the Australian National University. Valerie holds a Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracts and plays a key role in supporting the operations that keep AFII running smoothly.

Coming from a large farming family, Valerie was drawn to AFII for its positive, purpose-driven environment and the opportunity to work in a field that feels close to home. Valerie loves being part of a team dedicated to strengthening Australia’s agrifood future and enjoys contributing to an organisation that connects research, industry, and community.

Valerie is particularly passionate about fostering strong relationships with AFII’s hub members and maintaining a warm, welcoming environment for all who engage with the Institute. Valerie believes that AFII’s greatest strength lies in its ability to connect people and organisations that, together, can drive meaningful change in the agrifood sector.
