Based on technology originally developed at CSIRO, PPB Technology’s CYBERTONGUE® is a revolutionary new point of care diagnostic system allowing customers to generate their own on-site “Laboratory Quality Results in Minutes™”.
CYBERTONGUE® tests provide sensitive and accurate results with broad applications to food and beverage testing and analysis. Initial offerings include a first-in-class test for the bacterial protease responsible for premature spoilage of long-life milk, and trace levels of lactose in lactose-free dairy.
Haizea Analytics is a spatial data analytics company that specialises in providing rapid access to satellite data and derived services for managing natural resources, ecosystems, and natural hazards such as floods and fires.
Wildlife Drones is revolutionising wildlife research and conservation with cutting-edge drone-based radio-tracking technology. Our innovative solutions empower scientists and land managers to efficiently track and monitor wildlife across vast and challenging landscapes, collecting crucial data that informs conservation strategies and helps protect endangered species.
The Membrane Transporter Engineers (MTE) team are pioneering the development of novel membrane separation technologies to enable harvesting of critical clean water, nutrient, metal and mineral resources from complex liquid wastes. By controlling membrane selectivity separation, systems can be engineered to separate target resources from complex wastewater. MTE are currently working with industry partners to develop selective metal and nutrient separation membranes for resource recovery.

Scientific Instruments Australia (SIA) is an innovative company that designs and manufactures instrumentation and software for plant science, biotechnology and agriculture. It has offices and labs at La Trobe University’s Research and Development Park in Melbourne and CEAT.
Gondwana Genomics is the first company in the world to deploy DNA screening on a large scale to boost tree production in commercial forestry. By DNA testing a single seedling leaf, the company can predict a tree’s traits and key commercial attributes, such as growth rate and resistance to diseases.
