About
A comparative, outward looking workshop examining how leading jurisdictions — such as Brazil, the United States and the European Union — are modernising biologicals regulation and accelerating market access. The workshop will explore where international approaches could inform streamlined pathways, data sharing, and regulatory cooperation for Australia.
The session will focus on regulatory and policy systems and data requirements, adoption in practice and at scale, and the role of small markets and international collaboration, drawing on experiences from the Americas (Canada, the United States and Brazil).
Objectives
This roundtable is designed as a focused learning forum to:
• Share practical lessons from different jurisdictions (policy, regulation, adoption)
• Understand what works in practice—and why
• Identify transferable insights for small markets such as Australia, recognising contextual limits
• Build relationships and ongoing exchange pathways
• Surface key tensions (regulation, markets, adoption and small‑market dynamics)

A structured roundtable discussion across three blocks:

• Adoption in practice and at scale
• Small markets & international collaboration
Intended output
Key themes and recommendations from the discussion will be distilled into a brief report for government and sector stakeholders.
