PPB Technology Wins ACT Region iAward
CEAT Hub member PPB Technology have won an ACT Region AIIA iAward (Technology Platform Solution category) for their CYBERTONGUE® technology.
The CYBERTONGUE® is a revolutionary food testing system which uses shelf stable molecular biosensors, in concert with a user-friendly device, to get on-site laboratory quality results in minutes. It allows food processors to more efficiently test for improved food quality and safety, reducing waste and increasing product shelf-life. While the current focus is detecting proteases in milk, there is further capability for testing a number of allergens or toxins.
Dr Stephen Trowell, PPB Technology Founder and Managing Director, was delighted to receive the award and believes this award recognises CYBERTONGUE® as a unique technology lever that can help the food industry move significant elements of its testing program on-site.
In further exciting news, the CYBERTONGUE® device is now a fully commercial product and carries the RCM tick, demonstrating safety and electromagnetic compliance. It is available for pre-order with initial sales already happening. The first units will be shipping soon.
The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) National iAwards were created to promote excellence in the Australian digital ecosystem and are Australia’s longest running and most broadly scoped innovation recognition program. They unearth, recognise and reward excellence in Australian innovation that is making a difference and has the potential to create positive change for the community.
PPB Technology will now advance to the National Finals of the AIIA's iAwards Competition to be held in Adelaide on the 31st August.
