Sam has been researching practical opportunities and risks of digital tools in agriculture for the last seven years. This has included more than 300 interviews and other cups of tea with farmers in Myanmar, India, and Australia. Sam recently completed his PhD at ANU on this topic in collaboration with leading farmers, NGOs, and businesses, as well as 30 other researchers from CIMMYT, IRRI, the Government of Bihar, Cornell University, and numerous other institutions.
