About
Meredith is Executive Officer at AFII, and in addition to contributing to AFII initiatives brings her training in both science (B.Med.Sci, ANU, 2009) and arts (B.Mus (Hons); Dip Ed, UWA, 1993) to a variety of multidisciplinary projects supported by the Institute. She particularly enjoys assisting research project development with strategic and copy editing; co-ordinating large funding bids; and helping multidisciplinary teams to ‘speak each other’s language’ as projects progress.
In her personal life, Meredith enjoys building, developing and practicing sustainable living on her 240-acre off-grid property in neighbouring NSW.
She likes the challenge of growing food for herself and the property’s native inhabitants, while regularly devising new dastardly plans to protect them from the ferals. She is also a newly-minted firefighter in the NSW RFS – the world’s largest volunteer fire service!
